LOCATION
I am a lover of nature and prefer to shoot outdoors in natural light however depending on the style of your portrait, I can shoot any place of your choosing. Since I work almost exclusively with natural light outdoors, mornings and late afternoons typically work best. A cloudy ~ foggy day can produce exceptional portraits as well.
SCHEDULING
Please call or email with dates and times that work best for you. I do my best to customize your session to your personal needs. Whether it be scheduling a morning session for a fresh and rested toddler or an evening shoot to ensure that your entire family is available, I do my best to work around naps, meals, and busy work schedules. I begin shooting holiday portraits in September and go through the middle of November. Your session will last from 1-2 hours, depending on location and type of portraiture. The booking fee is non-refundable, but I will reschedule once if difficulty arises. Please notify me at least 48 hours before your portrait session if you must reschedule. For outdoor sessions, if the weather is not agreeable on the day of the session, I will gladly reschedule to another day.
STYLE
My goal is to create a relaxed, pressure-free environment for you and your family. I want to capture you at your most natural and spontaneous. With little ones I understand a photography session can often be stressful and I do everything I can to make the experience fun and carefree. I like to work in natural settings where you can relax, play, and forget I am there. I will be snapping away freely, capturing eyes, feet, laughter, love, silliness, and joy.
WHAT TO WEAR
Keep it simple! In this case, less is more. I recommend classic clothing without prints or logos. Solid, dark or light shirts work well with khaki or denim. Bring your favorite sweater or linen dress; texture creates wonderful detail in photographs. Feel free to bring along additional outfits. Hats, scarves, sunglasses or like accessories can bring a fun fresh element of color to portraits as well. I’d love to chat with you about this, feel free to send me a message. If you are booking as group, try to keep a similar theme, either in color or style. Most importantly, make sure you are comfortable.
AFTER THE SESSION
Your images will be presented to you via flash drive approximately 7-14 business days after the session. Need them ASAP? A $100 rush service will get them back to you within 72 hours of your session. Canvas, prints , custom products and specialty items may take up to 4-6 weeks. All images will remain on file for a year following your session. Replacement USB $25.00
POLICY
All images are copyrighted by Inspired Photography by Janae. A Print release will be provided with all Flash Drive of images to allow the right to print images. It is illegal and unlawful to scan, edit , copy, or reproduce my work in any manner or medium. The agreed upon fee for your session is due prior to portrait session. Due to the custom nature of each session, all sales are final. If you must cancel, please try to do so at least 48 hours before your session
